Singer 9180 released without much excitement surrounding it, but why?

Singer is owned by SVP Worldwide

SVP worldwide is Singer, Viking, and Pfaff. Over the past few years, users have complained of quality control issues. In reviews, customers either really love their Singer sewing and embroidery combo machine or really hate it. It’s really odd. But, there doesn’t seem to be any lukewarm reviews.

The Past

I went back 15 years looking at other sewing and embroidery units from Singer. In all the reviews, I found customers who loved their sewing and embroidery combo machines. But, I also found an equal amount of customers who had thread tension problems.

Due to mixed reviews, on prior models…

There isn’t much excitement surround Singer 9180. But, it’s still a nice machine with many great features.

UPDATE: January 2025

Since the release of Singer 9180 video, I’ve had many comment about how much they loved the Singer 9180. But, I’ve also had a few customers reach out to me for help with thread tension problems. Thread tension problems are never a good thing on a sewing and embroidery combo machine because it almost always means the machine needs to go in for repair.
