Janome partnered with Netflix to create Shondaland Bridgerton series sewing machines. There are two machines in this series. The navy blue machine is called Wisteria Promenade, while the white version is called Toile Romance.

This body style of Janome 15 stitch has come in a variety of different colors and themes over the years. Across models, the most frequent complaint found is in regards to thread tension. This observation is alarming to the average person who instantly thinks there is a quality control problem.
While some machines do have tension problems and have to be returned or exchanged, the many complaints sound like they come from beginners who don’t know adjustments have to be made to the bobbin case.

Shondaland Bridgerton only has 3 feed dogs. Feed dogs are metal teeth used to feed fabric thru the machine. Vintage sewing machines often just have 2 feed dogs. But most modern machines have at least four. The secondary feature on the less favorable side is the non movable sewing machine needle. Many sewing machines in this price range have a fixed needle too. However, it is a bit of an inconvenience to those who have grown used to moving the sewing machine needle left, right, or center for stitch alignment. Without a movable needle, you have to move the fabric or make an adjustment to the presser foot for proper stitch alignment.

This series of sewing machines is ideal for the beginner because it doesn’t have too many features. Without a lot of features, users can determine their overall feelings about sewing. At the same time, this model offers portability weighing in at just 13LBS. The lightweight nature of this machine makes it ideal for anyone looking to travel with a sewing machine.
Shondaland Brigerton series machines don’t have movable needle position or 4+ feed dogs , but they are still capable for completing the average sewing project.
